HI LOVLIES!!! I know it has been SO long since I've done a blog post, I decided to take a break and focus on finishing up school which I did and am now done with FOREVER! Can I have a moment?.........
K thanks:) Anyway now I am back and I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite face masks at the moment. Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with skin care and am always looking for new ways to improve my skin. However, I am on a college student budget until further notice so pretty much all of the products I talk about today are very affordable but I have had great experiences with each of them.
Masking is seriously one of my favorite things to do. If I have had a stressful week or a weekend full of fun (aka not good for my skin), I love to have a self care night which of course always involves masking. It makes me feel like I am getting rid of all of toxins in my skin and starting over with a fresh face.
There are seriously thousands of different masks out there and it can be hard to decide which ones to buy (especially if you don't have a giant skin care budget like me) I literally just want to try all of them. Since that is not possible for me (yet) I have found a select few that I have been sticking to and I love what they do for my skin. My main problems are my pores, redness/uneven tone, and an occasional breakout. So if any of these problems apply to you, keep scrolling!
1. Origins Retexturizing Mask
This masks right here was the first face mask I ever tried and I fell in love. It instantly made my skin soft and smooth after just one time of using it. Since then it has always been a fave and I will def continue to repurchase it. This mask is the Origins Retexturizing Mask with rose clay and that is exactly what it does. This mask smooths and softens the texture of your skin while cleaning out your pores making the skin look flawless. I usually like to use this mask when my skin is feeling a little rough and I know it needs some TLC.
2. Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask
The Alya skin mask is one of my recent favs. This mask has SO many benefits. It aids in breakouts, tightens pores, smoothes and softens skin AND it is VEGAN and CRUELTY FREE which is amazing! This mask has such a luxurious feel when putting it on it's so soft and smooth. Overall a great mask that makes my skin feel smooth and bright!
This mud mask is my favorite one to use when I have a breakout. It really clears out my pores and clarifies my skin. After I use it I notice my pores literally vanish. The best part about this mask is it's only $7.00! It works so well and it is SO affordable. A STEAL! Formula 10.60.6 has a lot of other masks in their line so i'll definitely have to try some others.
Ok so we all know Glam Glow masks are kind of expensive but trust me, they are worth it! (it was a gift ok?) Anyway, this mask makes my skin feel SO SOFT. It is a tinglexfoliate treatment that softens and brightens the skin! It is also supposed to help with fine line and wrinkles (never too early to start the antiaging process) as well as dullness and uneven texture making my skin GLOW. For sure worth the investment.
5. Sheet Masks
Sheet masks are another type of mask I love doing because they are super easy to do. They require hardly any application or removal which is just so convenient. There are endless types of sheet masks, pretty much one for any skin problem you'll ever have whether it brightening, hydrating, acne clearing, soothing, pore reducing...you get the point. Most sheet masks, at least the ones I buy, are super affordable so I like to get a bunch at a time and have some available for different types of skin issues. These masks are available literally everywhere. I usually get mine from Sephora, Ulta, or Target.
Masks I want to try
If you have any knowledge of the beauty world and you haven't been living under a rock, you have probably heard about Marianna Hewitt's Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask and if you haven't, you need to. This mask is pretty much brand new to the market and has already gotten SO much attention and amazing reviews. This mask, from what I have seen and heard, is an insanely hydrating mask that makes the skin literally glow! The mask says it is used to help with dullness and dry skin, something that most of us struggle with at some point, but even if you don't who would ever say no to extra radiant skin?? I would really love to try this mask because I looooove a dewey, hydrated skin look and I feel like from the reviews I have seen, this mask will do the trick!
This is a mask from Glow Recipe and it is the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. I first heard about this mask from listening to a podcast from The Skinny Confidential and they way they spoke about it sounded so luxurious and hydrating so I had to go check out their website. This mask is worn while you sleep and works on the skin throughout the night and then you can just wash it off in the morning which is excellent. It is said that this mask gives the skin "post-facial" results which I am all about! This product is another amazingly hydrating formula that uses watermelon extract as it's number 1 ingredient and apparently smells incredible. I must try!
A lot of these masks have similar qualities and benefits but each one has a little something that makes them stand out to me. Hope you guys enjoyed reading about my favorite masks and learned something useful. Any masks I didn't mention that I should know about? Let me know! I'm always looking for new, good skin care.
Until next time loves, happy masking!
